Aquanatal Exercise Classes
We are taking new members for our AquaNatal Exercise Program. This semi-private aquatic exercise class for pregnant women is helpful in alleviating the pain, swelling, fatigue, and sleep loss caused by pregnancy. See our blog for information about the benefits of aquatic exercise during pregnancy. Class size is capped at four participants. Please call our Allston office and ask for Stacy to get details on hours and fees. Be sure to ask about our bundle discounts. Class fees are as low as $16/class.
Research exploring exercise during pregnancy has shown benefits for both the mother and the fetus. Some of the maternal benefits include improved cardiovascular function, improved attitude and mental state, easier and less complicated labor, quick recovery, and improved fitness. More than 1/3 of pregnant women experience debilitating back pain during pregnancy. Among healthy pregnant women, those who did water aerobics once a week reported less low back pain and were more productive than their cohorts who performed land-based exercise weekly. Pregnant women who no longer tolerate land-based exercise are able to comfortably and effectively exercise in the water. See our blog for more details about the benefits of aquatic exercise during pregnancy. Exercise during Pregnancy
Our AquaNatal classes are limited to a class size of four. The pools and pool room are reserved only for AquaNatal participants during the AquaNatal classes. We do have special bundle pricing for sessions just under $16.
Aquatic Arthritis Exercise Classes
In response to high demand, we have launched an Arthritis Aquatic Exercise Class for 2011! Past patients have realized the benefits of exercising in our warm salt water pools, so we created the opportunity to attend classes without involving health insurance. Sign-ups start this week. Cost per class is $20, but we do have bundle pricing. Please contact us for more information.
